r 1 Nancy C. expressed concern that this plan does not address the EDB problem and groundwater supply. There are a lot more downstream problems , for example. she views the plan as addressing the cranberry issue only,, Jim Snyder stated they are investigating the groundwater problem. They are trying to intercept the River and do filtration. Greg T. asked if they are looking into a pump and treat system and what is the time frame. Jim Snyder stated they are looking for a good place to treat at the source area. The testing will be over by July 20th and options will be presented on October 14th. Greg T. asked if this plan could be in place this year so that we can test cranberries and count this as year one, Jim Snyder stated he won' t know until it i s in place. There is a two-tier leasing proposal. They want to lease the entire acreage for two years to -provide for the cranberry compensation and lease the 7 acres for however long until it I s free of EDB. Bob W. asked to become part of the planning process throughout these stages . Bob W. stated that this land was acquired through a grant, and there are stipulations that will need to be worked out with the state. PLUMES UPDATE: LF-4- Elias McQ. stated that he was told the road will be cut this week, Jim Snyder . put test wells around that site. The drums tested clean. They plan to do a site investigation next year (after October) and install more site wells. CS-10: Jim Snyder stated that construction will start on Sandwich Road to locate extraction wells. Greg T. asked for financial assistance to repair a back road for the use of residents of Br iarwood. Jim Snyder will look into this ,, it is unclear who awns thi' s road. Nancy C. asked if they are testing around John' s Pond and Ashumet Pond trying to find the leading edge of the plumes . -2-
