Revised plans were reviewed. The property consists of .471 acres at the southern tip of Popponesset island. There have been problems keeping the creek open, 'There is a revetment pe=*t ted. with the town and the state. It is .in the coastal flood zone, elevation 11. A revised narrative was distrib- uted; they have relocated and redesigned the pier. It calls for a 30 foot long fixed pier a 5% reduction) a 4 x 16 seasonal ramp, one 4 x 20 seasonal float (a 50 reduction), 8 - 12" diameter piles to support the pier, eliminating two Pilings from the original. proposal. Two cross beams Will be braced for the float. Mr. Mcg evish advised one of the concerns of the shellfish Warden was the proximity of the Float to the bottom and '-he established minimum of two feet of clearance. In order to hold the float above the bottom, four piles will be placed. As soon as it hits elevation 2, it will sit like a Fixed pier to allow acceess under the float at low tide. Five arms extend below the Boat so the boat can be tied up and not go -under the float. There will be two feet of water below the boat at low water to prevent prop dredging. They have moved the structure as close to the property lime as possible holding it 15-1/2 feet off the property .line. Mr.. Homeyer stated the float is going to be only a couple of feet oft` the line land court carries'tht line right straight out. Mr. DiGregorio stated on the Blythe property, which went to court, the line goes out perpendicular. He advised they will be going to Board of Appeals on March 9. . Homeyer expressed conicern this might be a navigational hazard and also, with possible spillage of fuels in Popponesset Creek. That is a tight area, with two boats in there, Dr. Hendler's boat has a 10 foot bei. Mrs. Ferriday stated they would have to come back to the Conudssion and show where they are going to put it. Mr. Homeyer wanted it in the record as far as if they do have to come ]pack because of whatever. Mr. DiGregorio stated they are hoping that the Board of Appeals will see it their war and they won't have to move it. This is the design and location that will hopefully give a window of opportunity. If the sidline setback is not net and they have to change the configuration of the float, it is understood, that they will have to come back to the Commission.
