MASHPEE CONSERVATIOM COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of March 10, 1994 (Rescheduled from 3/3/94) <br /> Commissioners Present : Harry Desrosiers, Frank Hove rer, ,John Johansen, <br /> Sherry. Simmons. <br /> The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. and appointed Sherryl <br /> Simmons a voting member. <br /> The 6:55 scheduled Public Comment period was announced at 7:05 p.m. ; there were <br /> no corment s. <br /> 7:00 GERTR DE W. SIMMONS for a proposed wooden pier, ramp and Float along the <br /> shore of Ann's Cove, at 126 Summersea Road. Dave Sanicki presenting. The plan <br /> was reviewed. <br /> It was noted Mrs. Simons is also known as Gertrude Simmons Ferriday, a member o <br /> the Cession. <br /> Mr, Sanicki advised what is proposed is a dinghy dock. Pier and float systems <br /> are presently on either side. The walkway, ramp and float are elevated and will <br /> service a canoe and dinghy with a 12 hp encrine. There will be 1-1/2 feet ' <br /> water <br /> at the end of the float; it Follows the line of the existing floats out there. <br /> Boat usage was proided.-in writing. The Special Permit was granted by Board, of <br /> Appeals, <br /> Mr. Sherman asked if 1-1/2 feet of water is consistent in the area and Mr. anicki <br /> stated it was. A report by the Shellfish warden stated the site of the pier is <br /> not a shellfish resource area, as shown on the Mashpee Harbor plan. <br /> Mr. Homeyer stated the maps are so old and outdated they do not tell anyone anything. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated it is the Commission's wishes that he do a site inspection even <br /> time. <br /> The Chairman suggested this be addressed after the hearing agenda.. <br /> Public comments were requested; none. ` <br /> r. Homeyer stated the type of boats put on the. dock cannot be regulated by the <br /> Commission, that is thejurisdiction of the Harborfnaster. The order of Conditions <br /> would have to be written to state that the draft of the boat not be more than xxx; <br /> size of boats cannot be addressed, <br /> Mr. Sherman agreed it could be written that the draft of the boat shall not exceed <br /> stated figure. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to close the hearing for Gertrude W. Simons. <br /> Unanini ou Vote. <br /> BEARING CLOSED, <br /> 7:10XWELL GATES for Auer--The-Fact changes to an existing dwelling at 18 Water- <br /> line Drive North. Barbara Frappier presenting. <br /> Mr. Sherman advised most of the work was done by the previous Wo�mer, only the <br /> electrical ,line was done by Mr. ,Gates.T <br /> A revised narrative was' distributed. Ms Frappier advis d2there is a bubbler system <br /> for the pilings. They did not dig through the salt marsh, the damage is along .side <br /> the structure from the electrician walking back and.- forth. <br /> ■ F A M <br />
