fi L
ConservationCommis-cion P _
March 24, 1994 4 '
Page 4.
NOTE: Motion made and seconded to close the hearing given the information
from the Agent and that After The Fact fees have been paid. Unanimous Vote.
R CASED.
8.01 CHARLES CWRIA CLOUGH to repair and maintain n existing inground swimming
pool and to perform site landscaping improvements along the top of a coastal bank
at 107/211 Daniel's Island Road.. Peggy Fantozzi presenting with Al Abrahamson,
Ms Fantozzi advised the project was before the Commission six months ago for a
general order of Conditions for repair and maintenance. A better landscape was
designed for this Notice of Intent. From the top of the rock wall to the top of
the slope, a detailed planting scheme is presented. A rock wall will.'constitute
the ultimate top of bank.
Mrs. Ferriday asked if it would be possible to' install another drywell for the.
pool Mr. Abrahamson was not sure, it is a 1000 gallon leaching pit that will
be taking all the roof water and P. ght be used for that as well. They are putting
a new Gunnite shell inside the old shell reducing the area of the pool by two feet.
Mr. 'Sherman. felt the idea of the leaching pit was goon because the previous timer
had a violation for running chlorinated water into the salt marsh,
Mr. Abrahamson did not-see any problem installing a leach pit. Ms Fantozzi agreed
there would be considerable earth work and it would not be a problem.. To be shown
on a plan. -
Mr. Home er asked if the wall is cement free? Mr. Abrahamson advised it will have
drywall grout -on the interior. The height is three feet.
14r. Johansen advised the permit to access for is needed and fees aro owed in the
amount $60.00.
Mr. Sherman questioned the vegetation? Ms Fanto'zzi stated it will be bayberries,
beach plum and rola rugosa mixed with spacing 3 ft. on center. The purpose of
the wall is to prevent foot traffic and reverse the drainage pattern from the
top of the wall to a drywell.
Public comments were requested: none,
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to close the hearing pending receipt of revised
plan with th leaching pit, site access farm and the balance of filing .
fees. TMardmous vote.
CLOSED
11. The river
has been low for so many years, it has become blocked up. Fish & Wildlife agree.
The work will be done by hand. It d.o e s not need to be dome urs t i l sume r. It is
more of a problem of return of'the herring.. There were no concerns raised by
DFP and they ill to away from the VW.
