Mrs. Ferriday asked to have <br /> Chuck Green sit on this eo ittee. <br /> { <br /> Cranberry Bog: Steve Ball advised a tote. of $186.00 was spent on plants. Brian <br /> Handy gage him three men and the town gage the use of a town truck. They spent <br /> 7 hours to do the planting, <br /> Today, the flume is almost completely gone; it has been blocked off with trees, <br /> and posted. <br /> The Conservation Plan developed by Don Liptaek was distributed for review. <br /> Stere Baal will confer with Brian Handy, To be discussed next agenda. <br /> Bids for remediation work: The article for $5000 was never put in the warrant. <br /> The Agent suggested it be Put in the October Town Meeting. He is not sure it is <br /> necessary for fish habitat. There is no blockage for the- herring, <br /> F i P. <br /> According to a gentleman from Forest aid 'Parks, it is.ne essary to apply for a <br /> permit to remove water for bogs. This, under a new law 21G, will require Mashpee <br /> to do a filing to take water for teir.,bogs. <br /> r T F <br /> The Agent stated'a decision should be made concerning theiconsuitant to do the <br /> work discussed last agenda, no later than two weeks from tonight. Definitions of activities were distributed again. Chapter <br /> 172 concerning abutter notification needs a regulation also. It was .agreed. to <br /> held this hearing on May 26 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> Asst. CA: The Article passed at Town Meeting and is in process. The project was denied by the Commission <br /> three years ago; DEP overturned. <br /> Mr. Sherman advised the nutrient loading was up around nine. They got an extension <br /> through the State but not through the Commission. He told them they could amend to <br /> put in a nitrate reducing system or complete the work within the time frame, As of <br /> today, it is just a big hole. <br /> He suggested allowing an extension if they would give up the pool; that would be <br /> another 30 feet of vegetated buffer. <br /> .
