Conservation Commission <br /> June 2 , 1994 <br /> Page 5 . <br /> 8:10 MASHPEE DPW for a Determination of Applica i'llty on proposed <br /> drainage work to provide for the reconstruction of Pirallco Pond Road., <br /> at the base of the hill at the Sandwich Town Line , Greg Taylor pres- <br /> enting. <br /> fir # Sherman advised he was called into this by P. A. Landers . It is <br /> Bordering vegetated Wetland situation. The Town of Sandwich has <br /> work involved too . <br /> Mr . Taylor advised 1000 feet of road work is involved. They are looping <br /> , to .put in a dry main on the opposite side of the road from the wetland. <br /> The plan was forwarded to DEP. There might be 150 feet of the loco <br /> that could be within 100 feet of the wetland. None of the road is with <br /> in 100 feet, or very- little . They are taking the curve out of the road <br /> where there are a lot of accidents . There is an agreement with the <br /> Planning Board. All the land is owned by the Thompson family on Peters <br /> Pond. <br /> Mr., Sherman would be comfortable with a negative determination but <br /> would require that it be recorded on the deed of the property owner <br /> .that revegetation, if needed, would be the responsibility of the DPW. <br /> Mr. Taylor agreed.. Mr . Sherman would also want to include some verbiage <br /> n utilities . <br /> It was noted there as a siltation fence In here already. <br /> The Superintendent of the Water District for Sandwich advised they <br /> have a pollution problem because- of Otis and have t come across <br /> Pimlico Pond Road to make a connection. This one section still has <br /> no agreement with l ashpee . They will finish engineering this summer <br /> and will be back to see if there is any need for a filing for the rest <br /> of Pimlico Pond Road, <br /> Yublic comments were requested': none , <br /> } <br /> Mr . Sherman stated this certainly shows the necessity for prior cO' n- <br /> sultation on this type of project . A <br /> The Chairman suggested something in the bid package to make contractors <br /> aware. <br /> Mr .
