HASNHEE CONSERVATION COHMISSION <br /> Minutes of June 1 , 1994 <br /> commissioners Present: Harry Desrosiers, Susana Lanni , <br /> Gertrude Ferriday, John Johansen, <br /> Charles Green, Frank Homeyer, Paul <br /> verett, Robert Lopez. <br /> The meeting was called to order at .m. by vice Chair <br /> sa►na► Lannik. <br /> 6 : 55 PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD : None. <br /> 7 ; 00 CHRISTOPHER FOHe TR of MONOMOSCOY TMJ , to upgrade an <br /> existing wood pier, rare and slate walkway to a raised timber <br /> pier and enlargement of an existing wood float at 417 <br /> onomoscoy Road. Hill Madden of GAF Engineering presenting. <br /> They propose to remove some of the walkways at grade and <br /> create an elevated situation. <br /> Mr. Sherman asked for the affidavit of service for abutter <br /> notification. He was told it was mailed on May 25 . A <br /> receipt was shown to Army Corps of Engineering. He asked if <br /> they had Chapter 91 on the structure's They propose to improve <br /> and license the existing under Amnesty and improvements under <br /> Chapter 91 . It existed prior to 1984. <br /> Mr. Madden advised there is an improvement component and will <br /> file when they receive Conservation approval . If they do not <br /> receive approval under Amnesty, they will file for a full <br /> Chapter 91 License . Also, they have not yet filed for Hoard <br /> of Appeals. <br /> The walkway is shown with a dotted line . They are adding <br /> some deck towards the existing ramp. A pian of existing <br /> conditions was shown; also, a photograph. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated the float is larger than the Commission <br /> normally permits. Raising it would be an advantage to the <br /> environment. The Shellfish warden has not provided a report. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated he was there at low tide and the near <br /> edges of the float were very near the bottom. <br /> Concerning the trust, Mr. Madden advised it was established <br /> by Mr. Foss for his family. It is not an association pier <br /> or to be used by anyone other than the family. In accordance <br /> with comments from A of, they will provide stops on the <br /> bottom and on dolphin piles . 'there is no eel crass in the <br /> area. <br /> Mr. Homeyer did not feel the Commission should have to wait <br /> for input from the shellfish warden. With no comments from <br /> hien, he would loop at it as if there were no shellfish and it <br /> was not a problem. He dict not feel the applicant should be <br /> held up because of shellfish. <br /> Mr. Madden stated they will assume that there is a shellfish <br /> resource area there . They would be willing to conduct a <br /> relay program. , this is not a problem with them. Pilings <br />
