Gonservation Commission <br /> July 28, 1994 <br /> Page 4. <br /> Mrs. Ferriday stated there will be a condition for draining <br /> the pool . <br /> Mr. Green asked for a more detailed plan of plantings. He <br /> had no problem with the choices but spacing is not adequate . <br /> The pool installer advised the pool will not be backfilled <br /> and only reeds 10 feet from the perimeter of the pool for <br /> work limit. <br /> Mrs . Ferriday asked to have the trees that are being <br /> disturbed marked on the plan. Mr. Schrader agreed. <br /> Ir. Desrosiers stated any tree greater than 4 inches that is <br /> to be removed should be marled. Also, design of the pool <br /> should be reviewed by the Building Inspector. <br /> Items pending were previewed: Reprised plan with limit of work <br /> reduced; leaching pit shown; trees greater than 4 inches t <br /> be removed on a cross hatch; narrative for pool construction <br /> and design specifications; method for draining the pool . <br /> Mr. Kemp advised they moved the house to save a tree . Their <br /> intent is to Cep the lard as pristine as possible but do not <br /> want to incur further expense . He reiterated the issues <br /> remaining to be resolved. <br /> Public comments were requested: none . <br /> CONTINUED TO 25 AUGUST 1994 -- 7: 10 P.M. <br /> SANTUIT POND: fir. Green advised he has received good news <br /> from Fish & Cane concerning the Herring and how healthy the <br /> pond actually i . <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to have Charles Green pursue <br /> getting written confirmation from Fish & Gameon the <br /> result of the efforts of the local community in estab- <br /> lishing a Friable herring population this year in <br /> â–ºntu.i.t Pond and, if it is passible in other areas that <br /> it has been acknowledged that santuit Pond has this <br /> established and that this is a direct result of the <br /> efforts of individuals to overcome the problems that <br /> existed in the traversing of herring to their natural <br /> spawning areas. Unanimous Vote . <br /> WETLANDS REQS: The Chairman advised attempts are being made- <br /> to <br /> adeto track down an extra set of 310 CMR 10. 00 reps that were on <br /> the table last hearing agenda and may have been picked up b <br /> a commissioner by mistake. They are needed in the office. <br /> BEECHWOOD POINT: Certificate of Compliance issued - project <br /> was not begun. <br /> NATIONAL MARINE FISHERIES SERVICES; A call was received that <br /> they are looking for information on areas in Mashpee in need <br /> f restoration i. . e. , salt marsh, anadramous fish runs, areas <br /> with flushing problems, etc. <br />
