7:20 DIRECTOR,, KASHPEE DEPT. of PUBLIC WORKS, for a <br /> Determination of Applicability on overlaying the existing <br /> pavement and widening 18 inches on each side of the shoulder <br /> to provide for bicycles on Route 151, from Falmouth Town line <br /> to 1000 feet past Old Barnstable Road. Greg Taylor <br /> presenting. The project was approved in 1993 without <br /> widening. The state is providing funding. Before granting <br /> funding, they received an application from Falmouth to do <br /> work on 151 which included an 1811 wide bike lanes on each <br /> side of the road. The cape Cod Commission felt the project <br /> should have an air quality measure. He has walked it with <br /> the Agent. There will be no vegetation cut, They will be <br /> charging the shoulder from casual vegetation to pavement. <br /> There are six areas. - <br /> Mr. Sherman stated there is only one area of a minor concern. <br /> He can revisit to make sure hayales are in place. <br /> Mr. Taylor stated they want to start in the Spring. Lawrence <br /> Lynch will be doing the work. The Agent will meet with Mr. <br /> Taylor and Lawrence Lynch before work begins. <br /> Mr. Green -asked if there will be any bering Only where the <br /> slope of the lot is over 1%. They would not want to keep the <br /> water in the road; that would be hazardous. This will tie <br /> into Falmouth at 28A which would be the link to Bourne and <br /> the canal. <br /> Mr. Green would be concerned with the area between Andy's <br /> Market -and John's Pond Estates. <br /> Mr. Sherman suggested Mr. Green join they[ on the on-site, <br /> Public comments: none. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to find a Negative <br /> Determination with the condition that they <br /> maintain haybales for six months in select areas, <br /> Unanimous Vote,. <br /> NEGATIVE WITH CONDITIONS. <br /> THOMAS M. QUINN to amend the Order of Conditions for S <br /> 43-1315 to permit a proposed stairway for access over the <br /> coastal bank at 130 Su.mmersea Road, <br /> Mrs. Ferriday offered to step down as an abutter. There was <br /> no one present for this hearing and she asked if it should be <br /> denied without prejudice or continued? <br /> The Agent advised this is a steep bank and he would not want <br /> to deny. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to continue to March 30 , 1995 <br /> t 7: 30 p.m. <br /> CONTINUED TO MARCH 3 , 1995 T 7:30 ,M. <br />
