When it became unprofitable, the
harvesting was stopped. The property is owned by Christopher
Burden who has given permission to mow the bog ever since
they stopped cultivating the cranberries.
Mrs. Ferriday stated at one point a compromise was reached
and that is what the Commission is trying to do.
Mrs. Wolk advised she spoke with Don Shall who said that it
is a limited project and would enhance diversity. She
presented a paper "Notes for the Bog" to be placed in the
record. It was stated Regulation 10.55 does not apply;
Regulation 10 .53 supersedes it, according to EPA.
