The garage is very close to the road.
Adr. Sherman asked, on the water side, is it currently wood chips? It is, with a blue stone
path. He asked if what will be planted on either side? W. Grope stated plantings are
very specific to a salt tolerant area, mainly grasses. W. Sherman did not believe Spartim
would fly in that area. He asked that his plan be looked at by someone else.
W. Grot&e Mated he could substitute an equivalent; this can be resolved. It was geed h
would confer with the Agent on the planting plate. A& Sherman sued because of the wary
the hot tub is set in, it viU move further into the 50 foot zone. Approval of this expansion
for an existing house would be setfing a precedent.
Air. Grotzke stated they need the space to get by. The tub would sit on cantilevered
beams. W. Rosenberg pointed out the present deck goes straight across.
fir. Sherman asked homer far it is from the wetland edge? It is 32 feet. He stated if going
to discuss expansion into the 50 foot buffer, the wetland edge would have to be flagged
with numbered stations. A&. Grote agreed. He stated vegetation in the area is vey
sparse and they are propos dense vegetation.
fir. Rosenberg asked if the path was permitted before and W. Gr tie did not know.
Mr. Sherman stated the path is a point of concern.
Mr. Rosenberg stated they should fag what is there now. Is the path now being proposed
with vegetation on both sides? Grotz a stated the path was there for a number of
years, with wood chips.
Xft- Sher an. stated the last time he was there, there was no erosion.
