30 May 1996 <br /> Page 18. <br /> SHARPE: Is this money enough to put them in compliance? <br /> Mr. Perkins stated they have issues about drainage. Greg Taylor has been out there and a <br /> consulting engineer is going out there to see what the problem is. They built the pipe under <br /> the house into the kettle hole. They and their neighbors are being flooded out everystorm. <br /> FITZSUVIMONS: It would seem there is some softening on their part in this call to John. <br /> She suggested they meet at the Laue home on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Laue and Dan <br /> Homeyer. Everyone felt very strongly that they should be treated like everyone else and it <br /> should be in the office. John has not called them back but Wednesday is the usual day <br /> when he helps people. <br /> Mr. Perkins agreed. He stated the Laues have had so much attention paid to them. They <br /> are not entitled to feel entitled. They will be told this is how the system works. <br /> ROSENBERG: Are you aware Dan Homeyer has a bias against the Commission? He has <br /> been out to get Bob Sherman. <br /> Mr. Perkins stated they have had discussions; he has an unusual view of the world. He did <br /> not think the Laues are relying on him. He was not there on Tuesday. <br /> ROSENBERG: They requested that he be present at the Sunday meeting. <br /> Mr. Perkins will call them tomorrow. <br /> JOHANSEN: I will ask that Bob Sherman be there and that it be recorded also. <br /> Mr. Perkins stated Bill Hauck was very good on the low-key approach. <br /> JOHANSEN: I have them a standard Notice of Intent form. <br /> ROSENBERG: 90%is supplied by the engineer before coming in. <br /> JOHANSEN: The form to be signed is so they cannot sue if I gave them bum <br /> information. I will call and tell them what the decision was and that Sam Perkins will be in <br /> touch with them. <br /> ROSENBERG: They have to have all the plans in hand before and should get Don <br /> Liptack of SCS out there also. <br /> SHERMAN: You will have to let me know that they want me to arrange for Don Liptack. <br /> They have done work in the interim they should not have done.
