Clark was Present to represent himself b
Bob Sherman explained that this was a continuation of anearlier project that
Mr. Clark did under a previous Order of Conditions/which we gave our recommend-
ations for some bank stabilization which is for
necessary. There is some new information which we received in the past few weeks.
in a similar case which I did not relate to you because it just happened since you
filed this application, a similar application in the vicinity where you live where
Coastal Zone Management has became involved and has some other types of suggestions
to doing which you wish to accomplish other than rocks and a wall. There is a new
technology available. I would like to have the opportunity to discuss ,this with
you before we proceed with this plan.
If the commission does not mind, we could continue this for two creeks. It is
possible that CM could intercede after we have issued something anyway.
.It was moved that we continue until July 11, 1936 at 8:20 p. m. at the request of
.the applicant, So moved.
8:10 P. M.: Application of Owen Welch to do compensatory planting, -with main-
tenance to a height of fir -(5) feeafter-the-fact due to to -the-fact rem l of vegeta-
tion within the 50 foot Naturally vegetated Buffer Strip at 47 Punkhorn Point
Road, Assessors Map 100, Black 50.
Bob Sherman explained that the majority of- this work was done on property not be-
longing
longing to the Welch's but it is a strip belonging to the association that lies
between the welch's. home and a large area of salt marsh on Punkhorn Point. There
was vegetation removed from within ghat was normally our 50 foot/buffer strip
vegetated
we asked the Welch's to fil.e and they have been cooperative in doing so. Normally
we would be talking about limits in the dutting in the future and/some compensatory re-
about
vegetation. I have not heard directly from the association at this point, and the
association would have to give their consent t e
whatever was done in this area because
the land is not awned by the Welch's. The association was notified 'by Certified
Mail, but none has officially gat back to us as to what their wishes are. we
cannot go ahead and issue any permit until they tell us if they will consent*
We cannot issue any permit until the association tells us that they will consent
to it.
