MASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> i <br /> Minutes of 31 October 1996 <br /> Commissioners present: John Fitzsimmons, John Johansen, Harry <br /> I esrosiers, David Sharpe, Ralph Shaw, George <br /> Green, Jr., Greg Wirsen. <br /> The Chairman caked the meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS: Beverly Dane appeared on behalf of the Mashpee <br /> Coalition and asked if aH public comments are part of the official. record. She <br /> was told they area. The Coalition made a request for a public hearing for <br /> DCC for-the lashpee River watershed on June 22nd. They are not asng <br /> the Commission to take.a position, they only want a public hearing. They are <br /> trying to determine public support, either yea or nay. <br /> The only other DCPC on Cape Cod is in Falmouth and that was nominated by <br /> the Falmouth Conservation Commission. <br /> R A S BILL: The Agent advised a number of tonight's hearings come <br /> under the Act., There are several RDA's that he will recommend legative but <br /> the Applicant should indicate that it is river front, date and sign it. Some o <br /> the Notices of Intent he wifl recommend moving forward because they are in <br /> n already developed area. In others, he would ask the people to continue <br /> pending interim guidance. Also, they have not indicated River front on their <br /> plans. DEQ' interim guidance is not to deny things but to push back. <br /> Mr. Green asled if it would not be better to deny? Mr. Sherman stated <br /> interim gui <br />
