The channel was dredged back in 1987. 21,000 <br /> c.y. were put on Popponesset Spit. It wiU be dredged in the same location <br /> down to -5. They are extending out to -5 Mean Low water. The only change <br /> is to dredge an additional 385 c.y. and only dig 12,000. The owner of the <br /> property is Fields Point and Chris Burden. The area is bare and <br /> will accept that amount of nourishment. They may put a big chunk of <br /> nourishment on the Division of Marine Fisheries land for which they are <br /> awaiting approval.. water Pollution has no problem with this. <br /> Mr. Sharpe asked when this will be done. Ben Gordon advised they will have <br /> the County dredge on January 13. <br />
