SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Inland Waterw No report. <br /> Po one s s e Bay: Mr. Silver reported chunks of mud in clumps <br /> on Popponesset Bay. Two docks have been ripped away and the:,r <br /> whereabouts are unknown. Mr. Ellis noted the location and owner <br /> of one of them. <br /> W ,c uoit Bad a Mr o Hanks cited ice s of the way across Great <br /> River- the ice moved the buoys around the tip of lea li ner Point <br /> (end of Great River) . Mr. Hanks and Mr. Ellis will follow u <br /> on this when the ice melts. Mr. Hanks took pictures of the <br /> extreme low tide he observed; the moon and the wind were <br /> considered factors, <br /> Dredq ink Mr. Hanks gave the report in Dr. Gordon' s absence, <br /> Dr. Gordon attended the meeting in which they selected a manager <br /> for the County dredge. The dredge will arrive and be assembled <br /> in Jure at the Mass Maritime Academy and be ready to begin this <br /> fall. The RFP issued by the Town is to renew the permits for <br /> Wa uoit and Poppone s set Bays. A second RFP is In the draft <br /> stage. Nine kidders responded, were reviewed by the sub <br /> committee, and a recommendation passed along to the Executive <br /> Secretary, The decision has not yet been made. Fundincj the <br /> permitting ing for Mashpee River and dredcji nq still needs to be <br /> determined since Waterways budy-et of $15, 000 has been exhausted. <br /> Ockway Hay has been tabled. <br /> Joint Dock Permitting process: Mr. Michael Groetze was scheduled <br /> to cone and talk about the dock permit process, but he was not <br /> able to come this month. He will be scheduled for next month. <br /> Mr, Hanks suggested moving this issue to the Coastal. Resource <br /> Management Committee to handle. Mr* Silver favored this idea <br /> since it .involves all the related parties to the process ( i.e. <br /> Conservation Commission, Board of Appeals, etc. ) . Mr. Ellis <br /> would like to see it remain w j.th Waterways, Mr, Hanks noted <br /> that Army Corps of En ineers, Coastal Zone Management, and. <br /> National Heritage are peripheral agencies also involved. M.r. <br /> York stated that a checklist is in place with Con Coin and <br /> suested that Waterways be put on this list* <br /> waterways By laws/Rei ulations: Mr. Hanks reported that Waterways <br /> Blaws changes were sent to Dick Murray ' s office (Chief of <br /> Environmental Police) to get his adprova l o no response has been <br /> received as yet. A letter was written to Tom Cahi r' s office <br /> to get the dreier language for Legislation; no resdonse has <br /> been received. Mr. Hanks and Mr. Ellis will follow up on this. <br /> There was no new business to report. r <br /> It was unanimously voted to adjourn, M. G l s thorpe/ d secy.. <br /> f <br />
