This was <br /> in response to Mr. Silver' s suggestion that identification <br /> numbers be ;hut on ramps , <br /> - MINUTES# <br /> A motion was made by. Dr. Gordon to accept the M:Lnutes of April <br /> 1, 1996, seconded by Mr, Silver. Unanimous, <br /> The Minutes of May 1 3 , ,l9 96 were reviewed by the Board for any <br /> changes, additions, and/or deletions . <br /> Nary Gelsthorpe will ask Marilyn 'arren about making the <br /> distinction between draft and final copy of the Minutes. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Harbormaster Report,: Mr. Ellis reported that patrol boats are <br /> in the water, and he installed several swim area markers . He <br /> tried to reach Dick Murray , Di rector' of the Inas sachus-etts <br /> Environmental Police, but was unsuccessful . Per his conversation <br /> with Acting Chief Larry Chenier, Mr, Ellis 'anticipates that <br /> Mr. Murray will approve waterways new By Laws with the <br /> understanding that those requiring changes will not be enforced <br /> until they are approved at the October Town Meeting,, The bass <br /> tournaments are going well at ash ee- Wa .eby, although there <br /> was a jet ski incident this past weekend. A jet ski that was <br /> impounded will be returned after a $100 storage fee is --paid <br /> by the owner. Jeff -Leonard from DEP waterways is coming down <br /> on Wednesday to do a site survey of docks in Po pones s et Little <br /> River and Great River. They will also review Dr. Gordon ' s sketch <br /> of the .proposed Harbormaster' s dock. CPR traini.n was Meld <br /> and gent well. A <br /> training program in law enforcement, policies <br /> and -procedures -is scheduled in June for paid and volunteer <br /> Harbormaster Assistants . <br /> Mr. Silver asked if buoys at the entrance to Po ponesset Day <br /> were removed, and. Mr. Ellis stated they were. A shoal marker <br /> was installed- and good water marked. Norm Hayes called and. <br /> the survey for the dredging of Poponesset has been completed. <br /> Mr. Ellis noted that a boater ran over a Town buoy qin wa uo,i t <br /> Bay.
