MASHPEE WATERWAYS COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OCTOBER 1 , 1996 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Jim Hanks ,k� BenGordon,� Den Lund <br /> F � <br /> red Fordhaaa, Herb Silver. <br /> Also present: Perry Ellis , Harbormaster <br /> William Taylor <br /> Rick York i Shellfish Cgns tabs.e, ,arrived at 7: 30 p .m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER: Mr. Hanks called the meeting to order in the <br /> DPW Conference Room at 7: 05 p.m* <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT: None, <br /> MINUTES: The Minutes of September 10, 1996 were accepted as <br /> .mended <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Harbormaster Report;* Mr. Ellis reported there were two canoes <br /> stolen at Camp Farleyf. and Peter Dini io' s beat broke� lyse on <br /> Mashpee-Wakeby Pond. A bass tournament started before the <br /> assigned time of 7 : 00 a.m. , and Mr. Ellis spoke with the <br /> � roup <br /> leader and followed up with a letter. New plugs were put in <br /> the Eastern. Mr. Ellis would like to replace one of the beats <br /> next year; he will get a price list from Honda . Mr. Ellis will <br /> dull, the aids to navigation after October 15th andu ' <br /> t �n winter <br /> sticks. The town deck plans (drawn up by Dr. Gordon) have been <br /> Submitted. Mr. Ellis noted this was grandfathered in before <br /> the River protection Act. The installation of the new dock <br /> is planned for this winter. , Three quotes for d ' <br /> eek engineering <br /> are needed ( i f the cost is kept under- $10 , 000 ) , <br /> Shellfish Constableeport# Mr.. Hanks stated that.�_ at core samples <br /> were talon at two locations on the Mash ee -River w The results <br /> of the sediment anal sl s a r T-die back at the end of the week <br /> which will provide a finding for Town meeting.
