Mr. Fordhaia heard a c i�farette boat go ud Great river <br /> on Saturday afternoon with no mufflers , and the noise was very <br /> loud. There was a complaint on Sunday n i' �f ht that the saine boat <br /> was riding up and down the River. Mr. Fordham stated that <br /> ashdee does not have a noise By-Law, but .it is a state law <br /> that this type of boat has to have a muffler. Mr. Ellis stated <br /> he i s familiar with this boat, and they have been fined in the <br /> last for noise violations in Little River, He will follow this <br /> u f? <br /> Dr. Gordon suggested that Waterways Commission drepar-e a noise <br /> By-Law for Town Meeting. Dr. Gordon will .investigate other <br /> communities who have initiated a noise BY-Law,, <br /> Dred in i Dr. Gordon. attended the Counter Dredge Mee t lny, on <br /> June 23rd and learned that the County Dredge broke even; <br /> $343 , 000 was taken - in and $343 , 000 was expended. They are <br /> working on the' schedule for next winter. Mashpee- s exit half <br /> of its allocated funds f-r dred�jinq, and we will have adequate <br /> funds to do 7 ,000 cu. yds. <br /> Mr. Fork stated that the channel on the Barnstable side has <br /> eroded; it is 5 feet deep at low tide* <br /> By-Laws and Regulations : Mr. Hanks stated our By-Laws were <br /> forwarded to the Attorney General ' s Office axed the Environmental <br /> Protection office , but we have -not received a- res pon.se, <br /> Mr. Hanks will Contact Mr. Murrayand try to e dedi to his <br /> response to the Attorney General. <br /> UPDATE ON 'ATER AYS IMPROVEMENT PLAN AND DREDGING PERMIT <br /> Mr. Hanks stated that the Army Corps of Engineers , Di-vision <br /> of Marine Fisheries , and EPA are reviewini4 our proposal to build <br /> a marsh with the dredged material.
