No action was taken on anything No motions. No progress. Mr. Ellis stated the decision <br /> about the night for the bass tournament is by the state. There is nothing we can do about <br /> the problem with speed limit. <br /> VCS Don s.s ,Bay. Mr, Silver stated ospreys are nesting in Ockway Bay. Presently there <br /> are four. Docks are beginning to go in at Mashpee River and New Seabury Marina. 'fide <br /> gauge is still in Mashpee River. Storm did not damage spit at Popponesset Bay. <br /> Mr, Hanks spore with Aubrey Consulting and they are planning to pull gauges out on <br /> Monday, starting with the one in the sound first then inside the bay after that. <br /> waquolt Mir, Fordham reported that there were some high tides during the storm, <br /> but no apparent damage. Pew boats are present. <br /> Maintenance Dred g_ Dr. Gordon reported the dredging is done. Have the dredge <br /> back next winter or the following one because it is not to full depth in Popponesset Bay <br /> or the Sound. Due to time constraints,they did not do allocated amount of removal. <br /> Dredge did not go to Truro because they found possibly a flounder in the water, permit <br /> was not to be used. Currently in Falmouth then will move down the coast:. Mr. Ellis <br /> stated that the yardage is 2,646 for Ockway Bay, inside of Popponesset is 1,500 yards and <br /> outside is 6 or 7 thousand yards. <br /> RFP for New Dredging Program. and Master Plan.Update: Mr. Hanks stated there have <br /> been no editing changes to RFP. There has been a little progress on master plan but no <br /> new write-up. Showed pictures of the dredge channels in Waqu_oit Bay and Popponesset <br /> Bay. Mr. Hanks eirculeated aerial photos of the dredged channels. On right track with <br /> doing as much of own analysis is possible. Strong town.involvement in permitting <br /> process is a plus both for Army Corps and state agencies, we will get involved in <br /> pre-permits process soon. After learning more about the bay, we will then hire <br /> professionals to do the pans to be engineered. <br /> Mr. Hanks circulated a draft of proposed new marsh areas for the Mashpee Diver. <br /> Mr, Ellis made a recommendation that he and Mr. York take a small area and try <br /> experiments with the small pump to see which methods work best to build i aushes with <br /> Mashpcc River dredged spoils. Dr. Gordon suggested to have meeting with appropriate <br /> state agencies to get started in right direction. <br /> Mr. Ellis requested to go ahead with pe�r�itti ng and dredging of the Mashpee diver as <br /> first priority and the channel by the Popponesset Bay simultaneously.
