Mr. Taylor arrived at : op,m. <br /> Also present: Perry Ellis, Harbormaster, Rich York, shellfish Constable <br /> Absent: Don Lund <br /> CALL To ORDER: Mr. Hanks called the meeting to order in Conference Room <br /> 3 at Town Hall at 7:04 p.m. <br /> PUBLIC coIII M ENT: Mr. Barer was present to request that the committee vote <br /> to dredge the river from the mouth at least to Orsini Beach. Mr. Edward <br /> Sinkowitz was present and urged the commission to proceed with the process to <br /> have the dredging begin as soon as possible. He was curious as to when the <br /> commencing of the dredging will be. Mr. Sinkowitz suggested that Mr. Hanks get <br /> some help rather than doing all the work himself. Mr. Hanks and Mr. Silver <br /> responded that the commission was all working together very hard on trying to <br /> solve the bias h pee River problem, and that included doing water sampling. <br /> MINUTES: The minutes of July 7, 1998 were accepted as amended. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Mr. Hanks received a copy of a letter from the Monomoscoy Improvement Trust <br /> requesting the status of their request to repair the culvert under Monomoscoy <br /> Road causeway. <br /> Ocean and Coastal Consultants Inc. introduction package regarding dredging <br /> and permitting but has not had a chance to look at it. <br /> dock permit was received by Mr. 'Rourke on Great River Road. <br /> Letter from Mr. Wh ritenou r to Mate mosquito control regarding repair of the <br /> culvert under Monomoscoy causeway. <br /> DEP # Triton Realty Trust Beach Erosion Program regarding putting rip rap along <br /> the shore at the existing house. <br /> i <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Harbormaster.Report: <br /> M r. Some tickets have been given on both <br /> fresh and salt ureter. They have been pulling illegal moorings and currently have <br /> approximately 40 available.
