3 <br /> 3. Committee Deports <br /> Fresh Water—Mr. Taylor <br /> Mr. Taylor reported they had a meeting of the 1\4ashpee Wakeby Lake <br /> Management Committee. He stated they elected new officers. Bill Marsters is noir the <br /> Chairman. Steve Cadrin will continue as secretary. The rest of the meeting was spent <br /> going over things generally. <br /> Mr. Hanks asked if there was any discussion of trying to get back into the water <br /> level control, Mr, Taylor stated he brought that up and right now they felt the level was <br /> about right. He went on to say they have not heard anything from the Conservation <br /> Commission. <br /> Popoonesset Bay Area—Mr. Silver <br /> Mr. Silver reported that everything loops fine in F app onesset Bay. He said the <br /> research Gressel in front of his deep. He gent on to say that everything was also very quiet <br /> 1n oclway Bay. <br /> h ash ee Watershed Committee <br /> Mr. Silver reported there have been no meetings until they decide whether there is <br /> a comnuttee or not. Mr. Hanks asked Mr. Silver if he received any correspondence about <br /> the committee. Mr. Silver answered that he only received a copy of a letter from Maggie <br /> Geist, which stated that she would life to continue to serve as a nor-noting member. <br /> New eabu Replenishment Pro j eet <br /> Mr. Silver reported that nothing is happening at this time. <br /> Waquoit Bay Area—Mr. Fordham <br /> Mr. Fordham reported that boats are starting to show up. He asked if the <br /> Falmouth people come into the Great Kiger area to shellfish. Mr. Hanks said not legally. <br /> Mr. Fordham stated he had seen two or three boats come in to shellfish. Mr. Hanks then <br /> asked Mr. Ellis if Falmouth can fish in the rivers or not. lir. Ellis replied they cannot <br /> physically cone into the inlets. Mr. Fordham stated the boats do not stay in there long but <br /> they are in there. <br /> Mr. Hanks asked if Falmouth closed their side of Waquoit Bay for soft-shell or <br /> quahogs. Mr. Ellis replied quahogs opened May first} and soft-shelled will open June first. <br /> 3 <br />
