Herb suggested that on subsequent amendments, it night be helpful to have an
overlay so that both old and new proposals can be seen-, thereby Hung the changes
easier to detect.
Steve Ball further asked if the two boards would have a problem with hirn mounting a
15-18 foot windmill on or near this site for the purposes of aerating the area.
Jing Hanks suggested Mr.that r. Ball Might do well to entertain a means of aerating that
rnight be less visible to homeowners in the area. Mr. Ball is concerned with the cost
of energy using a standard aerator.
Rick York commented that he didn't feel a windrm'U would be any more invasive than
the st and and aerator.
Mr. Hanks still thought that Ar. Ball might run into some opposition on the windnO
at Monornoscoy and suggested that solar panels are another way to go which would
be loss visible.
: The last issue discussed with the boards was the upweller. fir. Hanks stated that he
would like to see more details about the upweller beforegiving Mr. Ball feedback on
rt.
Chairman, Stere Cadrin, of the Shellfish Comimssion asked Steve Ball if he was
satisfied and felt that he got the, answers that he was looking for on his various issues.
Mr. Ball responded favorabiy and the concessions decided to move on to the second
heilfish Grant Application.
Mo Cassanelli of 41 Monomoswy Road introduced himself to the boards and
proceeded with his presentation.
-. assanelli explained to the boards that his situation is entirely different, as he has
already been approved by the Army Corps of Engineers under one provision, This
provision states that he move his grant from one area for reasons that are explained on
the front page of his proposal to another area closer to shore. Mr. Cassanelli has
proposed with Rick York as well as with Harbormaster, Perry Ellis to draw up a
different grant layout, which has already been done. Mr. Cassanelli then talked with
Eric Hutchins from the National Fish and Wildlife who was representing the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers} interests and explained the proposal to hien. mfr. Hutchins
responded that it would be okay with the Army Corps of Engineers if the waterways
Commission and Shelffish Constable had already approved the Grant.
Steve adrin from the Shellfish Commission made a notion that this grant proposal
would not significantly impact the shellfish resources. Sean Hendricks seconded the
motion and all other concession members voted in favor.
Herb Silver, vice halrrnan of the Waterways onuscion made a motion to
approve the Shellfish Grant Application as proposed by Mo Cassanelli.
