4
Verbatim Transcript - 3/21197
MASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION
Minutes of 6 March 1997
Commissioners present:
7:30 HOWARD GLASER, 1 Tide Run, continued from 19 September 1996.
There was no one present for this hearing.
Ms Terrio, read a letter into the record received from Joanne.Fox, Secretary of
the Kittle Neck Bay Association, stating a notice was published in the
Mashpee Enterprise on Tuesday, March 5, 1997,, inn an article by Paul Ott
which was not an official notice of a pubic hearing. She stated the plans for
public hearings for the Conservation Commission aro supposed to be available
to the public for viewingflve days prior to the hearing. Today is one day prior
to the hearing and there aro no plans available at the Conservation office at
this time.
It was noted this was received.by Fax and dated ►vednesday, March 6.
The letter continued, more than 60 letters from residents of Little beck Bay
were sent to the Board of ,Appeals objecting to variances. It was requested
that the hearing be postponed again until the abutters and any other
neighbors may have the opportunity to view the proposed plans. This
property affects the entrance of their village aesthetically and from a safety
standpoint. Strict adherence to Conservation and Board of Appeals rules
should be considered. She asked that consideration be given to their
objections.
Mr. Fitzsimmons: What about Mr. Glaser, what is his position?
Ms Terrio: I couldn't answer that as of now, we std do not have a plan if we
goose to even entertain this tonight.
Mr. Fit siLmmons: We have to deny? Does anybody else have any questions?
Is there anyone in the audience who rhes to comment on this application?
Mr. Rosenberg: I would make a motion that we deny the application unless
the applicant, within the next five days, assents to a continuance for not less
than one month and that dans be furnished to the Commission not less than
ten days prior to that new hearing. Further, that the applicant agree to
republication and notice of the continued hearing as though it were an original
application.
