There were told a Notice of Intent should be filed to <br /> legalize this house but that the lawn right not fly under the Rivers Act or the <br /> nutrient loading regs. <br /> Town Meeting Articles: Articles of concern to the Commission were <br /> reviewed. There was a lengthy discussion on the exchange of beaches. Mr. <br /> Sharpe was opposed. <br /> Ir. Desrosiers stated the Commission would be involved in reviewing permits <br /> if there is ever damage at the parking lot. Mr. Sherman caped DEP and they <br /> said the Commission can do this. Mr. Z esrosiers stated the State has taken a <br /> very valuable piece of land and closed it to fishermen. <br /> Ir. Rosenberg stated more complex than that, what they are going to do is <br /> replicate the State beach. If the swap goes through, they wifl put a gate u <br /> until a new state bead is constructed. The question is whether or not the <br /> Town should delay taking the beach as long as it can under the agreement <br /> with the State. <br /> Mr. Desrosiers felt the Commission should not take a stand if it sloes not <br /> relate to environmental issues. <br /> Mr. Rosenberg stated any comments at Town Meeting should be done as <br /> individuals, not the Commission. <br /> Mr. I esrosiers advised he was told by a person from the State that they would <br /> put a gate up and the town beach gate would be locked from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 <br /> a.m. which would not favor fishermen <br /> Articles were reviewed to update the bylaw to the livers Act and concerning <br /> the purchase of the Besse and Lopez properties. <br /> Concerning the DCPC nomination, it was the consensus to sit this one out. <br /> Mr. Sherman advised he was told by the Health Agent that they are <br /> formulating a regulation such that denitrifying systems would be required for <br /> the whole water shed. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded that the Commission not publicly <br /> support the DCPC but to support the Board.of Health regulation <br /> on nitrogen loading. Unanimous Vote. <br />
