MLASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of 12 June 1997 <br /> Commissioners present: John Fitzsimmons, Elliot Rosenberg, Ralph <br /> Shaw, John Johansen, George Green Jr. <br /> The Chairman called the meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. <br /> 6:55 PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD; Jacobs Engineering Group had <br /> requested time on the agenda but called in to cancel due to an emergency. <br /> 7:10 KENNETH CHAMPION for a Determination of Applicability on a <br /> request to replace an existing deck at 124 Fells fond Road. As a resident of <br /> the area, Mr. Fitzsimmons asked if there was any objection to his sitting for <br /> this hearing? There was none. <br /> Mike Kingston, representing Mr. Champion, stated the existing deck is <br /> unsafe. Mr. Sherman asked if the footprint was the sane? Mr. Wigston <br /> stated it is Mice as big. When asked how much closer to the pond, Mr. <br /> Champion stated it is only two feet closer. <br /> Mr. Fitzsimmons asked why they had to Me and was told it is in the flood <br /> zone. <br /> Mr. Rosenberg asked if it had received approval from New seabury and it had. <br /> Public comments: none. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to find a negative d.eterxnination. <br /> Unanimous Vote. <br /> NEGATIVE DETERMINATION. <br /> 7:15 JOHNS FDNB NORTH COVE ASSOCIATION for a Determination <br /> of applicability on a request to demolish and remove an existing ramp and to <br /> mill and grade the depression with beach sand at 4 Shorewood Drive. <br /> Aft. Sherman recommended allowing the work to go forward. The ramp is <br /> broken up and is a source of run-off into the pond. It will be graded with <br /> compatible sand, The Air Force is going to do this. <br /> Public comment: none. <br /> VOTE: Motion rade and seconded to find a negative determination. <br /> Unanimous Vote. <br />
