Bob Hamilton presenting. <br /> i <br /> Mr. Sherman stated Mr. Hamilton has been informed there will be no decision <br /> tonight as action by MEPA and the Secretary is pending. He will address <br /> questions raised last meeting and give a synopsis of the discussion with DEP <br /> which is still evolving. ' <br /> Mr. Pit sn' nrnons stated the Commission does not life to sit down and <br /> negotiate. <br /> Mr. Hamilton stated they are going to improve the level of storm protection. <br /> The are pulling the structure landward. Two or three people have no <br /> requirements for beach nourishment and will be brought on board for <br /> nourishment. <br /> Concerning beach nourishment this was discussed today with Rebecca Haney <br /> and Jim Mahala. They have given favorable approval. He reviewed his letter. <br /> The idea is to put funds into an escrow account which would be more cost <br /> effective. They would be committed to put an annual amount into the escrow <br /> account. <br /> fir. Rosenberg asked what would happen if they didri t Mr. Hamilton <br /> advised it would be tied to their deed. fir. Sherman will run this question by <br /> DEP. Mr. Rosenberg stated this might be something the parties to the <br /> agreement would have to enforce rather than the Commission having to <br /> enforce it. If someone has to bring suit, it is not the Town. <br /> W. Desrosiers asked ghat can be clone if any party sells their land? <br /> Mr. Sherman stated it goes with the deed. <br /> Mr. Hamilton advised they are trying to team up with BSC to pursue a large <br /> beach nourishment program. If in the year 1999 it sloes not seem the lame <br /> scale project is going to happen, the funds would then have to be spent for <br /> placing the quantity required at that time. At that time, additional sediment <br /> could be required. <br /> Aft.. Sherman asked if it would not be wise to put in additional money for <br /> emergencies or prong. He stated Mr. Hamidton has had, trouble getting <br /> people to pay for work under the order. W. Hamilton stated these are very <br /> good points. <br />
