21 August 1997 <br /> Page 8. <br /> 8:30 DAVID MC KAY for a shoreline access path, view corridor and selective <br /> prumng with maintenance in perpetuity at 55 Diver load, W. & yrs, Mc <br /> Kay were present* <br /> Mr. Sherman advised between the house and the Mashpee river, the lot goes <br /> down and then back up to a coastal bank. Mrs. Mc lay stated there is only a <br /> small area they need to prune. Mr. Sherman recommended it be allowed, it <br /> could not be maintained at 5 feet because it would block the view. Mrs. Mc <br /> Kay agreed, because it cannot be lowered, to do some additional plantings in <br /> other areas. When ready to do the pruning, he would meet on-site with there <br /> to pick some areas and plantings to compensate for the lever than normal <br /> shrub cutting. They could go to 18" with no problem. <br /> Mr. Fitzsimmons asked the amount of span that would he cut horizontally? It <br /> will be between 25 and 30 feet, 50 s.f total. A photo of the property was <br /> shown. Mr. Fitzsimmons asked how much frontage they had on the river? <br /> They have 26 feet. <br /> Mrs. Mc Kay stated they have a letter of pernnission from their abutter to <br /> clean a small portion of their lot to male a path. <br /> Ir. Sherman did not see it as any less wildlife habitat value. <br /> Public comment: none. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to close subject to an onsite and a <br /> satisfactory replanting plan to be determined at that time and <br /> receipt of DEP number. Unanimous Vote. <br /> CLOSED ENDI G. <br /> 8:40 VIN BYRNE for proposed construction of a new dwelling and <br /> landscaping within 200 feet of Red Brook at 17 Bayshore Drive. Chris Costa <br /> presenting* <br /> Mr. Sherman stated it is riverront area and the 5000 s.f issue. He has not <br /> received an interpretation from DEQ. He asked Kathy Terrio to go out and <br /> look at this and she did not get out there. It cannot be closed tonight. The <br /> Commission has the right to explore some type of movement or <br /> reconfiguration. <br />
