John Slavinsky presenting.
The house presently has four bedrooms and this will not increase.
Mrs. Terrio stated the Assessors records shove three. Mr. Slavinsky stated it
is definitely going to be four bedrooms. The benefits, environmentally
speaking, could. be to get rid of the cesspool on the embankment and the
expansion of the house is over a grassed airea which adds to the nitrogen in
the bay.
Mr. Sharpe asked if the footprint wiR remain n the same? Mr. Slavins y stated
it will be larger, going over the grass. Whatever might drain into Shoestring
Bay will be taken care of with the dx weRs for reef run-off.
Mrs. Terrio stated it will have to be deterrnined if it is a three bedroom house.
If four, the nitrogen loading bylaw will come into effect. The calks were run i
based upon that.
Mr. Sherman stated this has happened before and the Assessors records may
not be accurate. It is not illegal that they added another bedroom, but he
would have to get inside the house to determine how many are there today.
Mr. Rosenberg stated.Board of Health comments are that they have approved
the plans. Mr. Sherman stated them approval is only for capacity, not for
nitrogen loading.
Mr. Fitzsimmons asked what the nitrogen loading calculations were? Mrs.
Terrio stated based on the size of the lot with four bedrooms it would be above
the threshold of 5. N1r. Sherman stated it would be 7 PPM.
Mr. Slavins y advised they are scheduled for Board of Appeals on December
18. This property is an island surrounded by a coastal bank. The more they
move in one direction or the other, the more it goes into the flood zone, to the
coastal bank or toward the resource area.
