18 December 1997 <br /> Page 11. <br /> Mr. Desrosiers made a motion to notify the ponce department. Discussion <br /> ensued. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to notify the Police Department that the <br /> Commission has received a complaint. Unanimous vote. <br /> Quashnet Bogs: Brian Dandy has been informed by Ocean Spray that they <br /> will not be taking any berries for three years. It was agreed to invite Brian <br /> Handy and Nancy Cin in for the next meeting. <br /> Mr. Johansen advised Steve Ball has tried to get bold of Brian. <br /> Mr. Sherman would like to get him started on inventorying money put into <br /> the bog. He advised the bogs do not revert back to nature gracefully. It <br /> becomes a bad situation for trout habitat. The Town should not only be <br /> reimbursed for the berries, but the cost to maintain a viable river. <br /> Mr. Johansen stated Brian is to have a complete breakdown of how much it <br /> will cost to continue. It is too small for Army Corps of Engineers. <br /> Mr. Green stated the Town needs to go after the government. <br /> Mr. Sherman suggested the subcommittee meet in January. <br /> DPW: There wiU be a meeting on Monday with the Executive Secretary, Greg <br /> Taylor, Elliot Rosenberg, Dorman Hayes and the Agent. Mr. Sherman <br /> advised Quinaquisset has been ernbel .shed with seven spillways. <br /> 1 Ir. Green advised. IIIb. Taylor was reprimanded by Santuit people for the , <br /> same thing. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated the DPW director is out of control. <br /> Mr. Rosenberg stated the stairs issue is a mess that ought to be addressed as <br /> one issue, not bringing in a second. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated the Commission cannot sit on the second one very long <br /> because citizens have come to us. <br /> Air. Green advised the Cotuit Civic Association made a complaint; he thought <br /> they went direct. <br />
