Due to the depth of the water, the stairs <br /> will be relocated and the clad will be elevated ' above the beach for public <br /> mess. The slats within the pier will allow for light penetration. There will <br /> be some alteration of the salt marsh, 2#8 s. ,, for permanent installation of 10' <br /> pilings, but there is to s.f due to additional excavation. The applicant <br /> proposes to remove and replace the salt marsh grasses along the periphery of <br /> the salt marsh so there is no permanent loss of salt marsh. <br />
