They have an <br /> article for $182,000 from Town Meeting to maintain the bogs in Falmouth. <br /> He would hke to see a commitment from 1 ashpee. We have the military's <br /> attention now. They are looking for ideas now. <br /> Mr. Sherman asked what he was looking for from the Commission' Mr. <br /> Handy stated if there are any questions on the plan, let's get them out there. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated he is supposed to meet with Mr. Moder. DEP has not <br /> given any answers either. The Commission cannot, by itself, say it is okay. <br /> Mr. Dandy stated it took a lot of work to get that compensation and he will <br /> have to fight for the life of his contract. He does not know what the Selectmen <br /> have been doing here. Falmouth is ming to come up with the money to <br /> maintain the bogs for a year. <br /> Mr. Sherman offered to sit down and talk about it next week. lar. Handy <br /> stated.the Town has to do maintenance; he would hate to have the bog let go. <br /> A check for $96,12 1.62 was received. <br /> Dock Guidelines: ACEC dock guidance distributed. <br /> Merganser Well: A Notice of Intent will be coning in. There is a vernal pool <br /> i involved. The regulations are very strict, so it will be very difficult. Vernal <br /> pool regulations were distributed. <br /> VBS Scott Jackson of U ASS Ext. Service, an acknowledged expert, was <br /> agreement we should revise the requirements. Mr. Sheerman recommended <br /> -following his suggestions to cut back on the amount of foliage to be removed to <br /> 30% and in the BVW itself, to exceed 10% would be remiss. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to use Scott Jackson's recommendation <br /> s policy. Unanimous animous vote. <br /> Mashpee River: Remediation work is scheduled for Saturday. The weather <br /> may preclude doing this work. Also, the river is very high. <br /> Mr. Green stated it is agreeable to the Tribal Council to place the sign in the <br /> P arl ing lot. <br />
