22 April 1999
Page 13.
Mr. Fitzsimmons stated it is setting a precedent to put a deck in so close t
the BVW. Mr. DiGregorio stated the boardwalk would be 1 ' from the BVW.
Mr. Rosenberg was confused with the latest plan. It shoves 16' of sliders and
existing steps on either side; where do they go to; Mr. I iGregorio stated they
would come out. Mr. Rosenberg stated the steps are shown here (pointing).
Mr. I iGregorio stated no, the steps are located in another area. Mr.
Rosenberg asked what thou is this? Mr. I iGregorio stated you would have to
talk with the builder, he did not know. Where are two plans before the Board
and if they cannot live with the ' deck they will go with the design Mr.
Sherman originally mood to with Mr. Darling.
Mr. Fitzsimmons stated he not only doesn't like the ' plan, he doesn't like
the ' walkway because this guy decided to put in sliders, without having
anywhere to go with them.
Mr. Green stated there is a lawn with stairs coning onto it and the area is
being used as a public area and suggested if he wants to coxae around with
12 x 1 ' and bring the buffer up dose to the walkway, he could live with that.
Mr. I iGregorio stated you would not want to plant right up to the walkway.
Mr. Green stated he would. Mr. I iGregorio agreed. He stated they- are
planting an extensive area here where there is lawn.
Mr. Fitzsimmons stated this is 16' from the BVW and the sliders should not
have been put in at all. It is an imposition to bail him out. He felt the
Commission should get more than that.
Mr. Rosenberg stated the only reason the sliding door was put in was the
basis for coming in for the deck.
1r. IiGregorio stated he sloes have a small set of stairs leading from the
sliders now. Mr. Rosenberg asked where? Mr. Fitzsimmons asked how he
gets from the sliders to that set of stairs' Mr. I iGregorio stated the stairs
are there. Mr. Fitzsimmons pointed out Mr. DiGregorio stated you could get
to those stairs from the sliders, he did not understand how that could be
done. Mr. I iGre orio stated the sliders do open to those stairs.
Mr. Green stated if the corridor is brought up along the bank, it would be
establishing a travel corridor for animals to go along the edge of the grater.
The house cannot be pushed back. He suggested giving him 2' around the
deck, bring it back to 12', give him the walk-around area and bring the
