Jacobs is going to block off <br /> these areas with concrete blocks. They want to start the permitting on the <br /> creation of the new bog area and want to use the sand pit area for the <br /> disposal of the sand. Diane Bortos came up with an interim report. A large <br /> area is being used as a wildlife corridor. Filling a small part is appropriate. <br /> Mr. Sherman did not think they can do what they want to do. They want to <br /> truck It off the site but were told it is town property and they cannot do that. <br /> They floated out ideas ofcost which he did not believe. Bill Fisher thought it <br /> was a precursor to a renege. A delay is necessary but 1n the letter they are <br /> asking for more time. work to be completed no later than 1 October. He felt <br /> the Commission should go along with it. <br /> Mr. Wollenhaupt stated there is plenty of water coming out of that treatment <br /> system. it is not our problem they took out the uplands. <br /> Mr. Sherman asked if we should-hold their feet to the fire and say it has to be <br /> done by 1 June? <br /> Mr. Wollenhaupt stated planting in June would not be bad. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to go along with the request for upland <br /> compensatory revegetation delay. Unanimous Vote. <br /> Mr. Sherman advised they are pressing to do the bog expansion. A decision . <br /> will have to be reached in the next few months. The Bog Subcommittee <br /> should hold its own meeting on this. <br /> Mr. Wollenhaupt asked when they will put the pines back for the brook <br /> trout'? Mr. Sherman stated that is high priority. <br /> Mr. Fitzsimmons asked what is Handy's problem with the contract, Mr. <br /> Johansen advised he feels he is responsible for everything. <br />
