15 July 1999
Page 5.
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to find negative. Unanimous Vote.
NEGATIVE DETERNIINATION.
Steve Buss, our computer guy,is looking to give us a demonstration ofa digital camera. We would
record the information on a floppy disk instead having files ofpictures. We would make up the initial cost
in a year with the expense of film Processing. It can do everything a 35mm can do. It was suggested that
this would be good, except that a court oflain will not accept a digital photo because the Pictures can b
altered too easily. The best bet for the court is Polaroid or 3 5mim with a date stamp. Mr. Sherman will
check into this to see what Joe Reardon has to say. A surcharge for the expense of pictures should be borne
by the applicant.
7: COLONIAL GAS COMPANY for a Determination of Applicability on installation of a 2 inch pipe
natural gas main on the west side of Hamblin road and installation ofa 1/2 inch pipe gas service to 29
Hamblin Road,Assessors Map 120,Block 0002. Bob Dowling presenting for Colonial Gas. This gas line
is going down Hamblin Road in the middle ofars existing road and the area from which it feeds into the
house at the end is already sand and disturbed. It will be vegetated at some point because it is a house
under construction. There is no real potential for negative impact.
Public comment: none.
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to find negative. Unanimous Vote.
NEGATIVE DETERMINATION.
Under New Business
1 request from Robert Berke on an existing project where they had proposed a patio,he would prefer
a deck. It doesn't make much difference as the area is flat and it is within the work limit on a flat area
more than 50 feet from a resource area. Mr. Sherman recommended approval without a formal
amended order for the same footprint with crushed stone under it. We do have a plan in hand.
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to approve without formal amendment. Unanimous vote.
7:55 MARK SULLIVAN 208 Rock Larding Road,on a continuance from July 1, 1999. Diane Boretos
haserif i d the wetland line and the staking but we are waiting for ars letter from the owner since the
applicant is not the owner. Mr. Sullivan contacted me today and he has closed on the property. He is
expecting a letter from Pete Scabilia who ovens the property now. We are waiting for this letter. The letter
should have the closing and the book and page of recording at the Registry. He suggested closing
contingent upon getting the letter? Has there been a Board of Health approval Issue contingent upon
receipt of letter as outlined above and approval of the Burd of health.
Public comment: none.
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to close the hearing pending 1 receipt of letter from owner as
outlined above, and 2 approval of the Board of health. Unanimous Vote. •
HEARING CLOSED.
Return to New Business:
