4
r
1
MASHREE CONSERVATION COMMISSION
Minutes es of 26 August 1999
Commissioners present: John Fitzsimmons, Elliot Rosenberg, Ralph
Shia , John Johansen, George Green Jr.
The Chair called the meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. with a quorum present.
6:55 PUBLIC COMMENT: Beverly Kane of s Compass Drive representing
the Mashpee Coalition cane forward. • She advised the Board of Directors
noted to request the Conservation Commission consider a jurisdictional
referral of the willotrbend addition to they golf course to the Cape Cod
Commission. Four of the holes will be outside of-the special permit. Because
of concerns for drainage and the environment, it would be appropriate for the
Cape Cod Commission to review this to male sure all environmental impacts
are given full consideration.
Mr. Sherman stated under 48C, the Implementing Act, even if not within
jurisdiction., it does cover all watershed issues. It is a totally appropriate
request. The Conservation Commission cannot touch some of the nitrogen
issues that they can.
Mr. Rosenberg asked if the Commission has to wait until something is before
them? Mr. Sherman stated no, any Board can refer it. It is before Planning
Board. They would have to loot at the original permit to see how far it is
from the new proposal. They would be asked to see if it belongs under'their
umbrella.
Mr. Fitzsimmons stated, in due course, willowbend will still bring a Notice of
Intent to us.
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to go along with the procedure of
referring willowbend to the Cape Cod Commission.
Unanimous Vote.
7:00 RICHARD C. 1 AHONEY, 3 River Road, continued. from 12 August
1933. John Johansen stepped down as he assisted with the filing. The
continuance was due to pending Board of Appeals approval which has been
received.
Public comment. none.
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to close.
