MAS REE CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES of 18 NOVEMBER. 1999 <br /> Commissioners present; John Fitzsimmons, Elliot Rosenberg, Ralph <br /> Shaw, John Johansen. <br /> The Chair called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. with a quorum present. <br /> 6:45 REGULATIONS HEARING: Mr. Sherman advised there are three <br /> proposed changes in regulations, none of which are substantive. <br /> Regulation 25-Land Subject To Coastal storm Flowage. The only change i <br /> the addition "axed lands �rithin 100 foot' . It rales it clear this applies not <br /> only to those within., but also to land within 100 feet of, <br /> Public comment: none. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to accept the revision to Regulation 2 . <br /> Unanimous Vote. <br /> Guidelines far Cutting Within Buffer Strips: No change, except it more <br /> specifically describes how it is alid. This will go into Regulation #29, <br /> Guidelines for Naturally vegetated Buffer Strips. <br /> Public comment: none. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to accept the addition to Regulation#29. <br /> Unanimous Vote. <br /> In the past there was some question about view corridor length, what was the <br /> denominator. He read from the proposed regulation. This would cover any <br /> proposal that had a view corridor. { <br /> Regulation #4: This is entirely revamped, nothing that did not already <br /> exist in the segs. <br /> Mr. Johansen referred to Page 2, Item , the hearing process and approval by <br /> other Town Boards, Mr.'Rosenberg stated this is a situation where language <br /> of the State law and Town bylaw are different. <br /> r <br /> Mr. Sherman stated a subcommittee should be formed to review this. <br /> Mr. Rosenberg stated it is an illegal act to allow anyone to make a change on <br /> a plan and initial it. <br />
