i <br /> The Chairman entertained a motion be made regarding the <br /> request for minor revision of the plan. <br /> MOTI George Green made a Motion to accept the amendment <br /> as presented; which Motion was seconded by Carol Moore and so <br /> voted unanimously. <br /> . -Beverly Ryan, to amend the order of Conditions for SE <br /> 43-1705 to permit a twenty 2 foot rasp extension to an <br /> existing ramp, 399 Monomoscoy Road, Assessor' s Map 124 Block 67. <br /> The Chairman called this matter to order and recognized Mrs. <br /> Beverly Ryan. <br /> Mrs. Ryan explained that the steps are underwater as a <br /> result of each noon tide, and that the ramp was constructed in an <br /> attempt to rectify the situation. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated the proposed ramp extension would improve <br /> the situation on this property. He explained that the first <br /> attempt did not cone landward enough. Relic Valley Research Project-Ms. Boretos made reference <br /> to information regarding Ameri-Corp, and their attempt to monitor <br /> relic valleys, frost bottoms, geological forms located on the <br /> south side of the Cape. She stated very little research has been <br /> accomplished in this regard, and that it is a specific eco- <br /> system. The Quashnet River is to be monitored for temperature <br /> differentials from the top to the bottom of the galley. Some <br /> preliminary studies indicate a difference of up to seventy 70 <br /> degrees. Also, a vegetative analysis will be conducted across <br /> the Quashnet River, as well as temperature readings on a weekly <br /> basis between now and August. There is no charge for these <br /> services, the Town has paid for the thermometers, and an attempt <br /> will be made to involve Mashpee High School students in this <br /> project. <br /> Ms. Boretos explained this project would serve as an <br /> educational experience for the high school students and provide <br /> then an opportunity to gather the data. <br /> The Chairman acknowledged this project to be a free <br /> scientific resource, however he questioned its priority. <br /> Mr. Sherman noted this project would benefit long term goals <br /> - - <br /> i <br />
