i
i
Mr. Sank i explained the Title v has been filed and
approved with the Board of Health. A wetlands report has been
blade addressing the bogs, the coastal ban} , the bans, and the
stream located on this property. He also stated a fifty
foot buffer strip is being provided to the Town. Dr wells are
being proposed for these projects on the wetlands side with
reference to roof runoff.
Mr. Sherman noted the building sizes and inquired if the
proposed dr wel,l.s would be large enough in capacity to
accommodate them. Mr. Sanicki responded, "There are more of
them"
Mr. Sherman then inquired as to the nature of the around
surface behind the buildings between the silt fence upon
completion of the project. Mr. sanicki replied the cover would
probably be ecology grass/grass nix.
Mr. Sherman requested that upon completion of the work,
extended reveaetation be done at the southwest corner of the
property be conditioned, to which Mr. Sanic i agreed.
It was determined that a condition for both a silt fence and
hay bales would be necessary for erosion control; Board of Health
recommendations for delineation of wetland and MDC parking lot
drains have been addressed.
Mr. Sanicki informed the Commission that a Storm water
management submission has been made, in which there is a
reconmendation that the owner of the property check the basins
and perform any necessary maintenance every six months, and
after any major s t o rn.s.
It was determined that this project i s not exempt from
Stor eater Regulations and that the NOI status should be changed.
George Green expressed concern regarding enforcement of this
recommendation, as well as for protection of this property as it
is located over an underground river.
Mr. Sherman stated he has not had the opportunity to review
the DEP Storatear Guidelines as they would pertain to this
property. Both he and George Green requested time for further
review of this commercial project located within a sensitive
area. Mr. Sheridan suggested a two-week continuance.
There being no public comment or further Commission
discussion, the chairman entertained a motion.
MOTION: Ralph Shaw rude a Motion to continue the matter of
Ronald J. Mycock, 17 and 23 Simons road-Retail/off ice to February
17th at 8 : 15 p.m. ; which Motion was seconded by carol Moore and
so voted unanimously.
-8-
