i <br /> Mr. Sherman suggested this matter be Continued for two-weeks <br /> in order to discuss the ratter of relocating the house with the <br /> Board of Health. He requested more specificity with regard to <br /> suggested plantings on the landscaping plans . <br /> 'here being no public Comment or further Commission <br /> discussion, the Chairman entertained a motion. <br /> M TIo :_ Ralph Shaw made a Motion to Continue this matter, <br /> at Applicant ' s request, to May 11th, at p.m. ; which Motion <br /> was seconded by Carol Moore and so voted unanimously. <br /> : 10 George A. Benway III, 37 MonomosCoy Road, Continued <br /> from March 16th,, Notice of Intent. <br /> The Charman recognized David Sanicki, Cape Island <br /> Engineering, who stated this matter to be a technical <br /> Continuance. <br /> The proposal is for a two bedroom house, septic system <br /> with a denitrification system and required variance from the <br /> Board of Health. The revision provides for an accurate work <br /> limit lite and buffer to the work limit line for Construction <br /> purposes. He made reference to the plan indicating the house <br /> reconfigurations. The wetland delineation has been revised. <br /> Diane Boretos recommended approval as the performance <br /> standards have been met. <br /> Mr. Sanicki reported the Board of Appeals approval is <br /> pending the Conservation commission approval . <br /> The Chairman recognized Alec Alexander, abutter to the <br /> property, who presented a letter which was read into the Record <br /> by the Chairman: "I was and still arra under the impression that <br /> the Conservation Board was formed to protect -and preserve our <br /> natural resources and habitat . When I first Came to Mono osCo <br /> Island fifty years ago after spending three years in the South <br /> Pacific with the Marines, we even had deer on the Island. They <br /> used to swim out to the river. . .and then Come back to rest in the <br /> tall grass about one hundred Io o ft. ) feet from my cottage. <br /> They have gone from this area but we have many doves and other <br /> wild birds. There ars many turtles, posing rabbits, many <br /> squirrels and Chipmunks and just recently I have seen a red, fox. <br /> Are we ready to rid the land of these Creatures or will we <br /> Conform to what our purpose was meant to be, life and harmony <br /> with the wildlife in the sanctuary. " <br /> Letter~ received from Mr. Cutler-, "Sone draw attention to <br /> (inaudible) with our friends and neighbors that George Benway in <br /> has requested permission to build a small house on a lot known as <br /> Assessors Map Page 114, Block 11. our home is within the five <br /> hundred feet of the location in question.
