He reported Applicant is in <br /> violation of the 15-foot requirement; he suggested the Commission <br /> vote to issue an Enforcement order halting any further~ <br /> construction until such time as a proper planting plan has been <br /> filed. <br /> The Chairman entertained a motion. <br /> MOTION: Carol Moore made a Motion to issue a Stop work <br /> order of the project at 23 Bayshore, pending submission of a <br /> proper planting plan; which Motion was seconded by John Johansen <br /> and so voted unanimously. <br /> 2 . Biodiversity Days-Diane Boretos reported a Biodiversity <br /> weekend has been presented by the Executive office of <br /> Environmental Affairs. Although she feels this is a worthwhile <br /> endeavor, it requires ars enormous amount of work. She stated her <br /> reluctance in accepting responsibility involved in this project <br /> due to the time commitment . <br /> . Horsley and Whitten-Mr. Sherman reported a request has <br /> been rade to conduct some sampling and minor work in vernal pools <br /> as associated with the Cape Club Golf course property. <br /> Mr. Sherman suggested caution be relayed to the firm when <br /> penetrating hard-pan which may result in damage/problems to the <br /> area; to which the Commission agreed. <br /> . Workshop bequests-Diane Boretos requested permission to <br /> attend two 2 workshops (grasses and wetland sedges) sponsored <br /> by the Massachusetts Association of Wetland science. she <br /> requested approval from the Commission to attend said workshops, <br /> being conducted on two separate Friday afternoons in June; <br /> stating her intention to pay for expenses incurred with <br /> registration for the courses ($75 . 00 ea) . <br /> Mr. Sherman explained the funds allotted for workshop <br /> attendance has been exceeded; that Ms . Boretos would be paid <br /> for her time; and that the only alternative would be to <br /> appropriate monies from some other account (Conservation Trust <br /> Account) . <br /> The Chairman entertained a motion. <br /> MOTION: Carol Moore rade a lotion to approve the Assistant <br /> Conservation Agent enrollment in two 2 workshops, as well as <br /> allotting the required fees from available funds; which Motion <br /> was seconded by Greg Wirsen and so voted unanimously. <br /> At this point the Chairman advised the Cori s s i on that he <br /> would be unavailable to attend the next two 2Conservation <br /> Commission Meetings. <br /> -2 - <br />
