MASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of 25 May 2000 <br /> Co unission r present: Elliot Rosenberg, Chair Pro Tem, John Johansen, <br /> Carol Moore, Ralph Shaw. <br /> i <br /> The meeting was called to order at 6:55 p.m. with a quorum present. <br /> 6:55 PUBLIC COMMENT: Mr. and Mrs. venuti were present to ask the' <br /> Commissioners to reconsider the decision on their filing. His well was put in <br /> the buffer zone and his engineer did not tell him he had to file. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated it is valid to reconsider the positive determination and <br /> find negative. <br /> VOTE: Motion made-and seconded to reconsider and issue a negative <br /> Determination instead of positive. Unanimous vote. <br /> Chuck Green came before the Board. His resignation was accepted with <br /> extreme regret. The Chair asked if he knew anyone with his kind of <br /> F <br /> experience that he recommend them for the Commission. Mr. Green is <br /> working towards that goal. He advised he has volunteered to be liaison to <br /> Conservation. <br /> Andrew Tarabelh asked to be heard on the Halpern violation. Mr. Sherman <br /> stated he came upon Mr. Halpern with Mr. Tarabelli driving neer piles with <br /> no permitting. He recommended a filing of a Notice ofIntent with ars <br /> engineered plan to repair the dock and keep the pilings. <br /> Mr. Tarabelli stated Mr. Halpern owns ten houses at the tip ofSense <br /> Island. He replaced pilings pushed up with ice. <br /> Mr. Johansen recommended an engineered plan, a Notice of Intent filing and <br /> a fine. He stated Mr. Halpern was once a Commissioner. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated he has already altered land under the ocean. <br /> Mr. Tarabelli stated he understood and they will comply. <br /> 7;00 BRADY FAMILY 1993 TRUST, 256 Monomos oy load, continued <br /> from 13 April 2000.
