31 August 2000 <br /> Page <br /> New s a ury Beach Nourishment: Ms Boretos advised of a request for <br /> Administrative Review of changes to the order of Conditions issued on the <br /> reach nourishment. The order was appealed to DEI'. They want to change <br /> the date from March 30 to March 15 when they can do beach nourishment. <br /> They are not nourishing all the profiles. Linder special Condition ## , the <br /> applicant, will stake the Mean High water line prior to nourishment. If <br /> depositing below Mean High water, they will have to file for Chapter 91 and <br /> the Corps. The applicant states they are not going there. Chapter 91 feels <br /> they can do it.' <br /> Mr. Hayes stated there was some question of historic Mean High water. He <br /> will provide details. Let then know 'and they will withdraw the appeal <br /> immediately. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated it is appropriate, <br /> Mr. Mayes introduced Mr. and Mrs. Liatsos who were present with. him. <br /> They are looking at serious erosion and will be doing'beach nourishment. He <br /> asked how detailed the plan should be for the coastal bank. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to accept the proposed administrative <br /> Changes. Unanimous Vote. <br /> Frost Bottom study; Am ricorp has completed the frost bottom study at <br /> Quashnet monitoring.temperatures. A report was provided. The High school <br /> was involved. <br /> Mr. wirsen asked how significant was the changeMMs Boretos advised some <br /> days it was 20 degrees, <br /> Mr. Fitzsimmons asked if this triggered any action on the Commission's part. <br /> It does not. <br /> Ms Boretos advised two Eagle scouts are involved in projects at Mashpee <br /> River woodlands. Andrew Marsh is building a kiosk that is very impressive. <br /> The second project is engraved trail markers-being clone by Steve Purcell. <br /> Conservation Lands: Mike Talbot volunteered to help out on landscaping <br /> on Conservation lands. -He will work with Diane Boretos.
