EPA and the Air Force have agreed to a schedule for <br /> milestones for the full ground water remediation on this plurnEi and net June the Air <br /> Force will be issuing to the regulatory agencies a.well-field design report that will include <br /> a system. <br /> The chair would like to believe, as the owners of these wells, the Commission has a right <br /> to see the schedule they are proposing. <br /> Mr. Minior stated.if they do not meet the schedule agreed upon with EPA they can fine <br /> them for non-performance. <br /> Mr. Lire agreed to provide.a copy of the letter, in terns of the Drell-field design report. <br /> The chair thanked those in attendance. <br /> 7:15 NEIN SEABURY PROPERTIES L.L.C. 98-2 for storage of beach nourishment sands in the <br /> buffer zones of a coastal Bank, coastal Beach and Land Subject to Coastal Storm <br /> Flowage at 108 Shore Drive west. Norman Hayes and Brad Holmes were present for this <br /> hearing. This area has been used as a construction area since 1972. They have gore <br /> back to 1942 u.-S. Geodetic survey map to determine the elevation that was once here. <br /> They would like to,return this basin to the 1942 elevation so they can bring sands in from <br /> the sewage treatment plant being constructed on Fairway Lane. They have used the <br /> area- to rebuild revetments in this area. They will plant an area ' wide of beach grass <br /> on the toga of the bark. <br /> Mr. Sherman asked if it is proposed to continue to use this as a staging area? Mr. Hayes <br /> stated no, they want to bring it to a final grade and will vegetate the slope. Mr. Sherman <br /> stated they should revegetate a ' naturally vegetated buffer strip along the lines of <br /> chat exists to the west. If this were a.new lot, it would be demanded. Iver. Hayes stated <br /> they want the option to beach nourish this area if necessary. <br /> Mr. Sherman asked if it will be below Mean High Water2 Mr. Hayes stated no. Mr. <br /> Sherman stated the wrack line is at the toe of the bank. Mr. Hayes stated it was just an <br /> option but the could withdraw it. He would like to see beach nourishment done based <br /> upon an actual profile of the slope, actual location of Mean High Nater and vire would <br /> condition-if beach nourishment goes forte if they go below Mean High water, they will <br /> reed chapter 91. Mr. Hayes stated that makes sense. Mr. Sherman stated they should <br /> incorporate ars actual survey of where things are right now. Mr. Hayes stated the cross, <br /> section is a survey. The survey, on ground, was donne sic or seven weeks ago. The cross <br /> section is a schematic. <br /> .Mr. Sherman stated before beach nourishment, they would ld have to provide a profile <br /> view, to scale. Mr. Hayes agreed. Mr. Sherman stated until they get a new Order of <br /> Conditions, they should stop putting sand there. Mr. Hayes agreed. Mr. Sherman would <br /> like to see a plan for re-establishment of the o' buffer. <br />
