They
requested a continuance for two weeks on' certain aspects of the proposal but would like to
present all the other aspects. One aspect of this project involves a direct alteration to a wetland.
They would like to strip that from the RDA and discuss all the other aspects which is the
construction in the buffer zone.
IVIS Boretos stated her understanding is that Mr. Sherman is requesting additional information on
the RDA application, as well.
i
Mr. Vaccaro advised there are three aspects of the work. The golf course reconstruction of the
Green Course. Construction that is going to take place in the buffer zone of one of the resource
areas. They would Like to go forward with that tonight. The second aspect is the construction of
three new water hazards, including creating-new wetland habitat and that is ,where the plan
monitoring would come in. It is not monitoring of existing resource areas,it is wetlands that will
be created. The final aspect, what-they dowant to strip awy from the RDA and come back with
a separate Notice of Intent is the expansion of an existing pond.
The Chair react from the Conservation Agents comments.
i
Mr. Carr stated they want to take one of the wetland areas under the RDA and file a separate
Notice of Intent for that. All the other aspects of the project involve work within 100' of existing
wetland resources. There are three ponds that will be created as a result of this project and none
of therm are jurisdictional currently. They wish to present those to the Commission so they can
see what is envisioned and discuss how the vegetation is going to be maintained long-term.-
Mr. Rosenberg stated the problem is that they have not yet submitted an adequately detailed
monitoring and maintenance for the created wetland around the new ponds.
Mr. Carr's 'Understanding from Mr. Sherman was that the hearing would open tonight. After
hearing their presentation, there may be other things the Commission wants.
