i <br /> s <br /> MASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of 14 December 2000 <br /> Commissioners present: Elliot Rosenberg, chair Pro 'Tens, Ralph Shaw, <br /> John Johansen, carol Moore, Robert Shea, <br /> Leonard Baud. <br /> The chair called the meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. with a quorum <br /> present. <br /> -PUBLIC COMMENT:MENT: - Peggy Fantozzi was present to report to the <br /> Commission. She has leen going through the process of selecting people <br /> who will be the monitors and contractors. Two women have been offered <br /> the position of bog monitors. For the contracting firms, Ron's Excavation <br /> and Casey Tree and Landscaping have applied. he maintenance <br /> workers are being wrapped into the contract for Casey Tree as he has <br /> large labor pool. She will meet with Brian Handy. <br /> MIs Fantozzi asked if Commissioners would be willing to do a site <br /> inspection at two of the bogs. There is a pool of money for work to be <br /> • done and it may not make .sense to do some of the word ire the amended <br /> order and she would life to discuss this in the field. <br /> Mr. Sherman advised price quotes were received from Brian Handy that <br /> may be appropriate for discussion in Executive Session. <br /> 7:00 JOSEPH GARDNER, 175 Surf Drive, continued from 16 November <br /> 2000. Ed Pesce was present with Mr. Gardner. John Johansen stepped <br /> down for this hearing. Mr. Pesce advised it was left at the previous <br /> hearing that he should provide a revised plan with all remaining work to <br /> be done on the site shown. They have Borne up with a planting scheme'. <br /> He has shown the driveway, sod in the front, plantings in the rear and a <br /> proposal for alternatives for the deck: a four foot deck with a stairway, <br /> " four foot deck with a larger deep on the side with stairway or a four foot <br /> deck squaring off the entire side. Where i . a modified option, C, of <br /> carrying the deck around the side arra getting the stairs to the side. <br /> Mr. Sherman as ed if the plan of record is what is being -proposed? That <br /> is correct. The original plan shored no deck. when the Building Permit <br /> was acquired in March of 1999, the deck- was shown. <br /> Mr. Shea asked the distance to the resource area? Mr. Pesce stated the <br /> foundation was to be located 35', the as-built is 34.4'. <br />
