i4 January 2001 F Page 15. 1. Recommendation that the applicant investigate alternative access Into Poonesset creek. 2. There should be a survey of the actual square footage and location Of the salt marsh adjacent to and within 1 o' of the proposed dredge Channel. 3. Conduct a post-nourishment engineered plan with o' cross-sectional Surveys of nourished dune shoving slope ratios. This should be submitted to the Commission by 5/30/01. . In order to provide some meaningful mitigation, the Commission will Make a final determination as to the location for the dredge spoil material with the assistance of CZM, IEP and ACOS. . The maximum width ofthe proposed Channel shall be reduced from o to a maximum width of 3 ' in order to avoid over-steeping on the landward side of the dune on Poonesset Spit, as well as protect the marsh and revetment to the north of the channel. . Only compatible grain size sediment shall be allowed to be used for Beach nourishment purposes at a location approved by the Commission. (It was noted Ms Moore's motion modified #5. Mr. Shaw stated he could not support the one-time dredging. Mr.. Sherman asked if that meant he would support dredging ad-infinitum or support no dredging? Mr. Shaw stated probably neither. Mr. Pinaud asked if the Order would be goad for three gears and allow them to dredge one time in three gears? That was correct. Mr. Pinaud seconded the motion. 4 The Chair asked if there were questions or comments on the motion? There were none and he called for a vote. He asked for a display of hands. Ms Moore and Mr. Pinaud were for, Mr. Shea and Mr. Sha were against. The motion did not earn. The chair called for another motion. He asked for an explanation from the Commissioners who slid not agree in order that perhaps common ground could be found.
