i MASH EE CONSERVATION COMMISSION 1 Minutes of1 February 2001 Commissioners present John Fitzsimmons, John Johansen, carol Moore, Robert Shea, Michael Talbot, Perry Ellis. Chuck Green, liaison to the Selectmen, was present also. The chair called the meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. with a quorum present. 6:55 PUBLIC COMMENT: None.. 7:00 PA'T'RICK LA GHEAD for a Determination inati n of Applicability on proposed tree pruning, grass elimination, installation of barb mulch and brick walk and steps at 16 Summersea Road. Mr. Sherman advised there are three pines and two oafs to be pruned and a walkway that will connect with steps to a boardwalk. It is 0' from the salt marsh. 20% ofthe foliage is to be removed. He recommended approval. Public comment: none. NO'T'E: Motion made and seconded to find negative. Unanimous Vote. NEGATIVE DE'T'ERMINATION, 7:05 BET'T'Y M. CROSBY for reconstruction ofexisting/proposed owed pier-, rasp and float with maintenance in perpetuity for a chapter 91 licensed structure #3810 at 2 Pop on sset Island Road. Mr. Johansen stepped down for this hearing to-represent the applicant. They had ars Order of Conditions issued in 1993 but did not do the work. What is proposed is identical to what was approved. Mr. Sherman advised this would normally be allowed ander an RISA but there has been no dock there since Hurricane Bob. Mr. Johansen stated some cutting was done. He spoke with Ms Crosby's son and he will take care of the cutting after closing on this application. It would be taken ca re of as an Enforcement Order. Mr. Sherman stated if the violation affects the proposed project then it could be corrected but other than that it should be separated.
