i <br /> MASH EE CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> 1 <br /> Minutes of1 February 2001 <br /> Commissioners present John Fitzsimmons, John Johansen, carol <br /> Moore, Robert Shea, Michael Talbot, Perry <br /> Ellis. <br /> Chuck Green, liaison to the Selectmen, was present also. <br /> The chair called the meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. with a quorum <br /> present. <br /> 6:55 PUBLIC COMMENT: None.. <br /> 7:00 PA'T'RICK LA GHEAD for a Determination inati n of Applicability on <br /> proposed tree pruning, grass elimination, installation of barb mulch and <br /> brick walk and steps at 16 Summersea Road. <br /> Mr. Sherman advised there are three pines and two oafs to be pruned <br /> and a walkway that will connect with steps to a boardwalk. It is 0' from <br /> the salt marsh. 20% ofthe foliage is to be removed. He recommended <br /> approval. <br /> Public comment: none. <br /> NO'T'E: Motion made and seconded to find negative. Unanimous Vote. <br /> NEGATIVE DE'T'ERMINATION, <br /> 7:05 BET'T'Y M. CROSBY for reconstruction ofexisting/proposed owed pier-, <br /> rasp and float with maintenance in perpetuity for a chapter 91 licensed <br /> structure #3810 at 2 Pop on sset Island Road. Mr. Johansen stepped <br /> down for this hearing to-represent the applicant. They had ars Order of <br /> Conditions issued in 1993 but did not do the work. What is proposed is <br /> identical to what was approved. <br /> Mr. Sherman advised this would normally be allowed ander an RISA but <br /> there has been no dock there since Hurricane Bob. <br /> Mr. Johansen stated some cutting was done. He spoke with Ms Crosby's <br /> son and he will take care of the cutting after closing on this application. <br /> It would be taken ca re of as an Enforcement Order. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated if the violation affects the proposed project then it <br /> could be corrected but other than that it should be separated. <br />
