Town of iia s hp e e <br /> Conservation Commission <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> July 26, 2001 <br /> The Town of Mashpee ConservationMash Commission Meeting was <br /> called to order in Conference Room 43, 1ashpee Town Hall, 1 <br /> Great Neck load North, l a hpee, Massachusetts at 6 55 p.m. o <br /> Thursday, July 26, 2001 . The Chairman, John Fitzsimmons, <br /> presided. <br /> Commissioners present-, John Fitzsimmons, Chairman; <br /> John Johansen, Clerk; Carole Moore; Leonard Pinaud; Elliot <br /> Rosenberg; and Ralph Shaw. <br /> Also present : Diane Boretos, Assistant Conservation Agent. <br /> The Chairman declared a quorum to be present and called the <br /> meeting to order. As the first order of business he addressed <br /> the matter- of Public Comment . <br /> Non nearing Agenda - New Business <br /> 3 . At this point Diane Boretos reported that Mr. Kenneth <br /> Patrick has submitted a letter requesting removal of burned pitch <br /> pine trees adjacent to his property, which is located on <br /> conservation land. <br /> Ms. Boretos requested direction from the Commission <br /> regarding approval for an on-site inspection by the Conservation/ <br /> Assistant Agent. <br /> It was the consensus of the Commission to grant said <br /> approval, followed by a full report to the Commission. <br /> The Chairman reported that dine to an administrative <br /> oversight, John Johansen has not been officially appointed to his <br /> position as Clerk of the Town of mashpee Conservation Commission. <br /> Mr. Johansen has however, agreed to attend the meeting this date <br /> to monitor- Application paperwork. <br /> i <br /> . The Chairman farther ,reported the Conservation Agent i <br /> currently indisposed due to medical treatment for optic concerns. <br /> Sentiments of Best Wishes and Speedy Recovery were voiced by all . <br /> The Conservation Agent is expected to return part-time <br /> next weep for desk work. The Chairman suggested Applicants be <br /> advised to defer their application for a two-week period, if <br /> deemed necessary by staff during the Agents absence. It was <br /> also decided to reduce the number of Hearings scheduled for the <br /> net Meeting; and that any requests for continuance this date be <br /> scheduled for four-weeks. <br />
