MASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of23 August 2001 <br /> Commissioners present: John Fitzsimmons, Elliot Rosenberg, <br /> Ralph Shaw, Michael Talbot and John <br /> Johansen. <br /> Conservation Agent Robert Sherman, Assistant Agent Diane Bor tos and <br /> Associate Member Stephanie Jones were also present. <br /> Chair Fitzsimmons called the meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. <br /> 6:55 PUBLIC COMMENT: None. <br /> :00 WILLIAM eol7GHLIN 35 Un at na Road continued from 26 Jul <br /> 2001. Dave Sanicki presenting. They are applying to d=olish ars <br /> existing four bedroom house and to rebuild. An overlay was distributed. <br /> The house is pulled back 4 - '. It is 27' from the pond to the deck. An <br /> extensive landscape plan was provided. <br /> Is I oretos asked where the BVW lire was located? Mr. sanield pointed <br /> to the area down by the water; it follows the ' contour. Nis Boretos <br /> referred to the minimum 35' policy and stated she did not see where <br /> granting a variance to that setback is applicable to this lot. Mr. Sanicki stated it is pretty heavily grassed and vegetated <br /> with Rosa Rugosa. Mr. Sherman stated? from the standpoint of allowing <br /> it to be the 3 ' because the original douse was, the Commission would <br /> have to be convinced that the mitigation revegetation plan was offering <br /> some true benefit. <br /> Nis Boretos advised she measured from the deck corner to the BVW 1, it is <br /> 22'. They can plant native shrubs in other parts of the lot but she sloes <br /> not feel this is meaningful mitigation for the amount of loss of value. <br /> Mr. 'T'albot stated there is not much value there now. Ms Boretos stated <br /> the Commission has to be consistent as they have asked people, with <br />
